The Center For Arts, Spirituality And Activism
The Center for Arts, Spirituality and Activism is a gathering place to strengthen and nurture the soulful work of activists. In the belief that healing and social change happen most profoundly at the intersections of art, spirituality and activism, we offer space for existing and emerging leaders to strengthen their voice, their gifts, and their network. Located steps away from City Hall and across from San Jose State University, the Center acts as a refuge and hub for change makers to gather and build solidarity movements.
Arts
The arts help us see our world more clearly and to envision and actualize the future we want to live in. The Center seeks to connect with local artists whose work speaks to issues impacting marginalized communities.
Spirituality
The Center draws from a broad range of spiritual practices that ground us in courage and compassion. The Center honors the idea that long-term activism must draw from the deep well of strength and endurance that of being a connected community. Spiritualities are diverse, and the Center honors all compassionate paths, beliefs and non-belief.
Activisim
The Center seeks to connect organizers who are building transformative movements for change. The Center calls forth those with lived experience to gather to address racial, economic and environmental justice issues in our local community.
