A Transition Team!

Adding one more chance this Sunday: if you haven’t voted yet, now is the time!

Part of an interim ministry is a team of folx trusted by the church to help guide the direction of the interim time — and thus, the future direction of the church. This team may morph into, or help to form, the eventual search committee for the settled pastor. The team is formed by you! We’ll take up slips of paper on which we hope you will write down the three people in the church you trust more than anyone else.

  • Please do not list yourself.
  • Please do not vote more than once.
  • Please list only three.
  • This is the honor system. :)
  • Votes are anonymous. If you need to vote by email, you can email [email protected], and Neil will get me your vote (without your name).

A Creative Team!

Trying this again. I really want your voices to inform what I preach about on Sundays! Will you meet with me, just once, and talk about the scriptures for the upcoming weeks? Tuesday, November 3, 10 a.m., in the Martin Luther King library coffee shop. This group meets once and only once. I’ll form a new creative team in a few weeks — with all different people. :) No commitment. Do it once, and then maybe never again. Sign up to inexpertly yak about the Bible here! (You can show up even if you don’t sign up!)

Meet with me!

I’ve been so glad to meet with a few of you, and I want to get to know more of you, all of you, or as many as possible, in these first few weeks of my time here. Sign up, and let’s hang out. (If none of the listed times work, just send me an email. We’ll work it out.)

Since Millie asked: this picture is of my mother-in-law, Kathy, and my daughter, Junia. Two years ago. :)

All Saints Day

All Saints Day is coming up on Sunday, November 1, and we want stories from you about people you love. Specifically, people who embodied one of the attributes blessed by Jesus in Matthew 5. Find more information, and sign up to share your beloved’s story, right here. Sign up! Sign up! Sign up!

Drive me?

Thank you so much for offering rides to the church from the Berryessa BART station. Kind souls who have car, will travel, please sign up to drive me!

And remind me to get a pic, else we’ll be using this same one forever! (Applies to everything in this newsletter… if I don’t get pics with y’all, it’ll look like this church is just me and my fam!)
