Hello, Urban Sanctuary!
We have a new newsletter! Isn’t it exciting??
You’ll be hearing more from us here — likely a weekly or monthly entry, plus some special announcements from committees as applicable. For now, there are several things coming up that you need to know about…
A Transition Team!

Part of an interim ministry is a team of folx trusted by the church to help guide the direction of the interim time — and thus, the future direction of the church. This team may morph into, or help to form, the eventual search committee for the settled pastor. The team is formed by you! For the next two Sundays, we’ll take up slips of paper on which we hope you will write down the three people in the church you trust more than anyone else.
- Please do not list yourself.
- Please do not vote more than once.
- Please list only three.
- This is the honor system. :)
- Votes are anonymous. If you need to vote by email, you can email [email protected], and Neil will get me your vote (without your name).
A Creative Team!

Unlike a transition team, or any other team you’ve likely been on at the church, this group meets once and only once. Meet me at a local coffee shop to discuss the upcoming preaching texts. I wanna know what you think about them! I wanna know how to preach to you about them (which is different than preaching to anyone else). I’ll form a new creative team in a few weeks — with all different people. :) No commitment. Do it once, and then maybe never again. Sign up to inexpertly yak about the Bible here!
Meet with me!

Did you notice, while you were there? I’m also looking for sign ups to meet with me! We can go get coffee, or go to your house, or hang in my office, or on the patio, or take a walk… Tell me a joke, read me a poem, spill your life story… I want to get to know you, all of you, or as many as possible, in these first few weeks of my time here. Sign up, and let’s hang out. (If none of the listed times work, just send me an email. We’ll work it out.)
All Saints Day

All Saints Day is coming up on Sunday, November 1, and we want stories from you about people you love. Specifically, people who embodied one of the attributes blessed by Jesus in Matthew 5. Find more information, and sign up to share your beloved’s story, right here.
Drive me?

Sometimes I need rides to the church from the Berryessa BART station. Kind souls who have car, will travel, please sign up to drive me!
