Urban Sanctuary’s presence in the city and for each other

November 4, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

My dear Urban Sanctuary friends,

My heart reaches out to you asking you to stay connected to each other and to pray for our presence in downtown San Jose during these post-election tensions.  “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love and of power and a sound mind.”

I have been working with Silicon Valley Faith Leaders and other organizations who will be holding a peaceful rally at City Hall – with activities throughout the day.  Peace ambassadors and others trained in non-violence will be there to ask that we Count All the Votes. Your prayers can contribute to the energy as we continue to hold the creative, essential tensions of justice and peace.

Other activities continue this week as ways to stay connected:

  • For more info about Silicon Valley Faith Leaders go to http://www.svfaith.org/
  • Wednesday, November 4 at 5:00 p.m. Spiritual Poetry w Jim Thompson – see Jim’s email for poems and links
  • Thursday, November 5 at 10:00 a.m. Community Coffee on the patio – watch your email to see if we will meet onsite or via zoom as we continue to assess the situation downtown.
